STREET INSPIRATION: SHEPARD FAIREY

From time to time, you’ll find me posting random inspirational photos that I take while I’m out walking around NYC. I find that there are times where our lives are so busy that we miss out and ignore our surroundings. This public artwork that was displayed a few months ago on a wall around the Meatpacking District caught my attention. I don’t know who the artist is and how long it was displayed on the wall, but I noticed that it was painted over during a recent visit and I was relieved to know that I had took a snapshot before it was gone. I wasn’t prompted to post this photo until I was looking for ideas on interior designs and I thought to myself how amazing it would look if I had printed this on a canvas and have it displayed in my apartment!

Update: Thank you Danielle for informing me that this is the work of Shepard Fairey ( http://obeygiant.com ).
