At the risk of committing a crime against fashion deities, I would say however, that the short-but-not-too-short trousers don't work in this silhouette. We all need to know what our body shape is what suits our body shape. In this case, the outfit looks maladjusted: the trousers are either too short or too long & the shoes are too high to leave the gap needed for shorter trousers. The trousers also seem to hang uneasily on the calves.
