I usually bike a lap around Manhattan as my daily workout routine, but on Sunday I decided to take a stroll and stop by the opening of the New Amsterdam Market. While making my rounds through the vendors and cooling myself off with a delicious cup of Jack’s stirred brewed coffee, I noticed another table with a distinguished young gentleman. He happily obliged to have his photo taken and I was especially intrigued with his name and profession as a cheese monger. He explained that most people erroneously think it’s a French derivation, which made me chuckle because I go through a similar reaction with my last name.
