With everything happening outside Stella McCartney S/S 2012, I was slightly confused seeing Karlie Kloss biking through in her workout clothes. I guess it was her day off from work.

While chatting with Anne-Catherine Frey outside Louis Vuitton, she pointed to the end of the street and calmly said “Oh, there’s a girl with a bicycle”. I looked over and without a thought ran over just in time to get these photos of Ursina leaving the show. Thank goodness Anne-Catherine knew I was obsessed with bicycle photos, otherwise I would’ve missed it.

When Shala told me she was out and about with her bicycle in a matching outfit, I immediately rode my bicycle out to meet her. Being that she travels fairly often, it was a photo opportunity I didn’t want to miss.

Every so often I come across an individual with such profound uniqueness that it subconsciously puts me in dreamlike state. It’s like submerging your body into one of your favorite painting or freeing your soul into music with no recollection of time. The feeling was no different when I first came across Fay Leshner, a designer, stylist, and former model that’s well recognized not only for her sensational creations but also for her artistic flair in clothing. With her presence graced by such poise and politeness, I simply wonder what creations conjured in her mind while she stood in front of my lens. I’m sure whatever design she decides to visually communicate in her journey to the fashion world will nevertheless be an inspiring one.

I enjoy going out for a ride every chance I get and this summer I’m inspired to photograph more people on their bicycles. Much like the clothes we choose to wear, I believe there is an affinity with our bicycles and it’s something I’m hoping to capture more often in the next few months.

Rai is a true sweetheart and I absolutely love her warm and cheerful personality! She was enjoying her Sunday with a friend strolling around East Village, where she also generously set some of her time for me. We even tried taking some action shots of her on the bicycle, but the narrow street and passing vehicles made it difficult. I think the twenty-pound chain/lock that was sitting in her basket also made the task a bit cumbersome. Overall, we were able to get some lovely shots and it was a delight meeting her.

I really like the cool and casual look that Trevor has going on here, especially with his battered Converse. I actually have a pair of studded John Varvatos high-top Converse that I’ve abused for a year that I thought about pairing with rolled-up jeans, but I haven’t seem to get it right yet. Trevor was also kind enough to show me his vintage bicycle, which is something that I’ve never seen before!
